Kathryn Ann Harsley
A place to remember, share stories, and gather together with family and friends.
A life lived with grace and love
Kathryn Ann Harsley was born on September 1, 1946, in the United Kingdom to Cadwaladr and Kathryn Davies.
In 1961, she made Australia her home. She married her beloved husband, Matthew Harsley, in 1970, and together they travelled the world before settling in Singapore, and then in Perth.
Later in life, Kathryn pursued her passion for language, earning a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics. While in Singapore, she taught English to young children, and after returning to Perth, she continued her work at UWA’s School of Humanities, teaching English to international students.
She was a devoted mother to Mark and Luke, and a proud grandmother to twins Evelyn and William.
Kathryn cherished time with her grandchildren and delighted in her weekly mahjong games with her dear friends Liz, Faye, and Lee.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. We invite you to honour her memory by sharing a story or reflection at the memorial service.
